With Missouri’s strict DUI/DWI laws, the question isn’t whether or not you should seek the advice of a DUI lawyer, but which DUI lawyer. Why You Should Choose Byrnes Law Firm for Your DUI Case
We’re understanding. While driving under the influence of any substance is never something any lawyer would recommend, we are understanding. In many cases, driving under the influence comes about after a temporary lapse in personal judgement, and usually the punishment does not fit the crime. It could be something as simple as having one more drink than you planned, or even the result of a faulty roadside sobriety test. In Missouri, a first-time offender could face up to six months in jail — and that’s just for the first offense. Will your job still be waiting for you when you get out of jail? How will you pay the bills that have been adding up in your absence?
We’re ready to listen. Judges routinely make comments to our clients about the level of service Byrnes Law Firm affords to them. The officer will likely inform you that you will be surrendering your license by refusing to comply, but what the officer will not reveal to you is that refusal to comply is not an admission of guilt, and in many instances, your attorney will be able to work out a deal with the prosecutor (especially if it’s your first offense) that will allow you to keep your driver’s license — something that is especially important for CDL drivers and those who rely on their vehicles to go between work and home.
